12 Hour Immersion Training: Foundations of Sacred Sound

Friday-Sunday October 16th-18th

with Veda Spidle

Discover the restorative and transformative potential of sacred sound in this immersive introductory training with certified Yoga Therapist and sound practitioner Veda Spidle.

Whether you’re simply curious about sound healing, looking to deepen your personal practice, or hoping to thoughtfully begin incorporating sound into your offerings, this course is designed to provide a strong foundation. No previous experience is required, and you do not need to be a yoga teacher to attend.

Throughout our three days together, you’ll explore the science behind sound healing, including brainwave states and the effects of sound on the brain, nervous system, physical body, and traditional energetic models found in yoga. You’ll also receive hands-on instruction with a variety of sound healing instruments, learning foundational playing techniques while developing confidence through guided practice.

With 12 hours together, we’ll have ample time to experience the instruments firsthand, ask questions, share observations, and learn in a supportive environment. The intention is not only to teach techniques, but to help you cultivate thoughtful listening, presence, and discernment as you begin your relationship with sound.

Yoga Alliance Registered Teachers are eligible to receive 12 Continuing Education hours upon completion of the immersion.

Please Note: This course is limited to 10 students.

In addition to the course tuition, a $200 refundable instrument deposit (cash or check payable to Surya Yoga) will be collected on the first day of the immersion. This deposit covers any potential damage to instruments while in your care and will be returned at the conclusion of the training, provided no issues have occurred.
